Momento Mori: YOLO of the Past

Quick lesson in Latin: the phrase “momento mori” can be translated into “remember you will die”.

Cool, eh?

Okay, some might think that’s pretty darned morbid, but that’s because you’re seeing it as just a reminder of your impending, unescapable death. Trust me, it isn’t just a reminder of death. It’s also a reminder that we should live life to the fullest, because of that very impending, unescapable death.

Bottomline: momento mori is something like YOLO, except cooler. You can’t deny it’s cooler. I mean, it’s in Latin, the language of the dead.

So why not use momento mori instead of YOLO the next time? I mean, momento mori, right? 😛
